【The Iron Horse Traveler — To Zion National Park・Episode24】

Near Moab, there is a motel called Riverside Inn. It was so clean and comfortable that I ended up staying multiple nights.

But today is the day I leave Moab. This town is truly wonderful— I could live here forever. With a lingering sense of attachment, I prepared to depart.

From here, I would head toward Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon.

I left the motel and rode toward Route 191. After crossing Route 70, I turned left toward St. George.

Even on the way to the national parks, the scenery was overwhelming. The sky, the land, the air— everything felt like a work of art.

Riding through such beauty, I reached the national park. There’s no need to describe it— the scenery before me was the very definition of the American West. It felt like the Earth itself had submitted an art piece.

After soaking in the scenery, I headed to my next destination:

ZION HARLEY-DAVIDSON.

As long as I didn’t lose my park ticket, I could re‑enter the national park anytime. But I wanted to finish my shopping before the Harley dealer closed.

Today’s total: $146.51 I bought a hat, a long‑sleeve shirt, and more.

Since I was already here, I decided to get my partner’s oil changed. I could have done it in Las Vegas, but I preferred to take care of it early. I had already ridden over 6,000 miles. If I changed it now, I could focus on riding without worry.

After enjoying the national park and finishing the oil change, I got back on the freeway as usual.

Then—

A sign appeared:

“LAS VEGAS 14 miles.”

…What? Only 14 miles?

Las Vegas was right there— practically within reach.

(…What do I do now…)

It felt like I was suddenly pulled back into reality.

To be continued…
